Eye Cream Recommendations

I'm on a hunt to find a really good eye cream. I'm looking for something for the daytime so SPF would be a plus and something else for night. I need an eye cream specifically made to reduce the appearance dark circles and fine lines and wrinkles and something that would brighten my eyes. My life depends on concealer especially for my dark circles and I really want to consider a different alternative since I don't want to use makeup everyday. If anyone can help me, please recommend any products or any other regimens I could consider. Thanks for the help!

  1. I also have horrible dark circles and have yet to find a remedy =( However, I've noticed SOME success with using: DHC Eye Bright, Skinfood Salmon Eye Brightening cream, and Shu Uemura White Recovery EX Cream. However I only had samples, so I could only use it for about a week and the effects didn't last. I would have to say I did notice a teeny bit of improvement in dark circles/puffiness with those products though. Avon's eye cream did nothing for me and LaRocca 24K gold eye cream seemed to make it worse!

  5. I'm on the lookout for the same things! LOL! But I need puff help! LOL! Right now my nighttime eye cream is Olay Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream. It's doing alright I guess. But I'm not even halfway through the bottle so can't tell yet.

Day is COSMEDICINE Opti-Mologist Eye Treatment. No SPF though. And it's balmy you need to warm it up with your fingers. But I think that's helping with my circles.

Next on my list to try is Origins No-Puffery and Avenno Eye Bright.

  7. Well, I use Mary Kay's TimeWise eyecream. I don't wear make-up every single day.... just on occasion and I too have dark circles but I wear glasses so I guess it covers it up? I hope it helps =T To be honest, I really don't care how I look to other people because I have good self-esteem so you should too! =]

  9. I don't use eyecream, but if I ever use it (rare moments, but still) I'd say the clinique one is really really good, and it's been awarded many many times! you should try it!

  10. It really depends on what the dark circles are caused by. If they are hereditary, your average "dark circle" cream isn't going to work, as the darkness is caused by something completely different. The average dark circle cream is geared towards darkness caused by allergies, lack of sleep, that kind of thing. They help to stimulate circulation. The only thing I've found to help with hereditary darkness was something that Chanel put out, and it came in a roller ball. I have a feeling they don't make it anymore. And... it wasn't a cream. It was more of a serum, and you put your cream on over it.

As far as fine lines go, I love the one I use by Kinerase. It's perfect for those that are *preventing* lines, as the younger crowd normally doesn't need a major correcting cream.

  17. I have been using the Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer (from Made from Earth) and after one month of daily use, here is my verdict: This stuff works. It's not magic, it's not a miracle, it doesn't transform every wrinkle and age spot. But it makes your skin look BETTER than before, which is all we can really hope for, isn't it?

I've noticed a somewhat dramatic change in the fine lines around my eyes (no, I don't use a separate eye cream). They are smoother and much less noticeable. The few age spots I've developed seem to be lighter. Overall, looking at my face in the mirror now, I sometimes have to do a double-take because my skin looks so much better and brighter. The permanent dark circles under my eyes are even lighter.

I have acne prone skin and I was nervous about using a new moisturizer, but quickly found that my skin actually CLEARED UP while using this product. Likely, it was due to my regimented focus on skin care in general, but this did NOT contribute to any breakouts at all. Highly recommend the Made from Earth line if you are looking for solutions.

  18. It’s important to look for products that have been clinically tested according to the symptom you are looking to treat.

  19. Try using organic eye creams. Also, start to eat healthier foods for your skin that prevent wrinkles like food rich in vitamin C such as kiwi, orange, broccoli, cauliflower, guava, brussel sprouts; and food rich in antioxidants such as blueberries, red kidney beans, acai, cranberries, prunes, plums, apples.
