Look Using Senna Cosmetics + Review, Photos & Swatches

I've heard beauty bloggers talk about Senna Cosmetics and how great their products are so I was really excited to have the opportunity to try some of their products myself. I'm completely honest when it comes to doing product reviews especially for items that are sent to me from the company. I don't want anyone to feel like I'm being biased. So when I say that a product is amazing, I really mean it! And upon reviewing Senna Cosmetics, I have to say that I completely love the quality of their eyeshadows. Their price range is a little on the expensive side but in all honesty, you get what you pay for! If you haven't tried Senna Cosmetics, click here to find a retailer near you!

Malachite  Frosty teal

Bewitched  Dark chocolate brown with gold shimmer

Vivid  Bright metallic purple

Malachite, Bewitched, Vivid / No base ($16.50)
Thoughts  The vibrancy of these shadows are AMAZING. I really did not expect these shadows to give off so much color especially with very little effort. Just one swipe and you literally get amazing opacity. These shadows are pigmented and they blend well together. You get just a little bit of fall out but that's usually expected when it comes to really vibrant shadows that have shimmer. They don't crumble or feel powdery at all. The texture of them is soft enough to build on color but manageable enough that it doesn't brush off. I would say Malachite is definitely the most pigmented out of the three. Bewitched required more layers to build up because it has a more dryer texture than the other two. Vivid looked brighter in the packaging than it did when it was swatched but is still a pretty purple color.

Kissy/Alabaster ($19.00)

Lip Laquer: Super delicious vanilla flavor, amazing lasting power, and full-textured but never sticky formula in the richest colors this side of the rainbow makes this the lip lacquer of choice for any serious lip gloss lover. The icing on the cake is that it conditions lips with Vitamin E and Jojoba.
Thoughts  I have to disagree with their "never sticky formula" because it is quite a bit on the sticky side. It's not unbearable but I do prefer a thinner consistency. You can also see that it's not the most pigmented lipgloss either. So I prefer to wear it on top of lipstick or alone if I just want a little shine. It lasts a couple of hours without drying out my lips and it's definitely moisturizing.

Shade 2 ($22.00)

Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer: This anti-aging neutral cream eye shadow primer contains a potent vegetable ogliopeptide from natural hibiscus that functions in much the same way that Botox injections do, but without the pain and loss of facial expression! Helps firm and smooth the eyelid while minimizing lines and wrinkles. Helps cover discolorations such as redness, darkness, or irregular pigmentation. Prepares the eyes for eye shadow application. Eye colors look richer and more true, and they last longer.
Thoughts  This primer offers very minimal creasing. It has a thick and creamy consistency so a little bit goes a long way. I prefer to use it on top of my Urban Decay Primer Potion just so I'm extra sure that my shadows won't crease especially since I have really oily eyelids. But it's definitely good enough to wear alone underneath your eyeshadow. It does not apply transparent but it dries to an opaque cream-tone finish. It's easy to blend onto your eyelids and you can use it more than just eyeshadow primer! You can also use it as a corrector and for creating a smoother canvas before makeup application.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Photos, Swatches and Review

These lipglosses are also a big hit in the beauty buzz. I hear a lot of ladies talking about it and I thought I'd give these a try. I can honestly say that I really like these lipglosses.

At first glance I knew I wouldn't have stopped and looked at these lipglosses if nobody had mentioned how good they were. I'm honestly glad I did! These three shades were the only ones available so I can't really compare them to the other shades. I checked online at the different colors and I'm glad I ended up with these choices.

AVAILABLE AT: Most drugstores. I bought mine at CVS
PRICE: $8 USD (BOGO 50% sale at CVS and Walgreens right now)
SIZE: 0.2 FL. Oz/5.9 mL
VALUE FOR PRICE: 5/5
EASE OF USE: 5/5
PACKAGING: 5/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 5/5
OVERALL USE: 5/5

PROS:
Non-sticky
Feels moisturizing
No strong scent
Inexpensive
Does not dry my lips
Decent pigmentation (depends what color)
Decent lasting wear
→  Cream finish (Lilac Pastelle looks like it has a tiny bit of shimmer but it's not obvious)

CONS:
The taste. It tastes like I accidently sprayed body spray in my mouth. I'm a little over exaggerating because the taste is there but it's not a very strong taste. But I don't usually have that problem with other lipglosses. It could just be me.

OVERALL:
I'm very pleased with my purchase. I feel like I could carry all of them in my makeup bag and never feel like I'm missing a shade to wear during the day (maybe except a nude). I'm definitely gonna keep these in my makeup bag because I don't think I could ever go wrong with these shades no matter what look I'm wearing on my eyes. These colors are perfect for the summertime. Because they're not sticky, it won't feel like you're wearing heavy goop on your lips. I would say of the three shades, my favorite is definitely Coral Reef.

NYX Round Lipgloss Swatches

Happy first of the month!

So Tina also known as SpecialxGirl on blogger was so kind enough to send me some goodies. I received her package yesterday and she included my first NYX round lipgloss. She totally just took away my NYX round lipgloss virginity because they're so hard to find down here besides online.

I remember a long time ago I went to this store that sold jewelry and I saw a lot of NYX make-up there and so today I decided to drop by and see if they had any NYX round lipsticks/lipgloss. And to my surprise they did! They didn't have lipsticks though which sucked because I was looking forward to finding them there.

They also had a lot of Art Deco nailpolishes. And since a lot of you ladies are into nails and some are even doing tutorials, I know exactly where to get them now. (:

They also had Cherry Lashes as well as other brand lashes that I've never heard of. Cherry lashes were selling for like $3.99 which is crazy!! But from what I saw they looked really good though. I'm thinking of taking a break from Ardell lashes and trying the different brands I saw at this store.

Sorry for the low quality pictures.
These were taken with my blackberry.

Finally Done With My Exam!

I finally got done with my Business Law test. Damn, I hardly studied for it because I just skimmed through all 4 chapters. But I was pretty confident. When I was going over the test I was like oh my fudge.. this is pretty easy. LOL. You have no idea how many breaks I took from studying last night because I just couldn't help myself. I was either looking online for make-up related ish, cleaning my bathroom or talking to my boyfriend. Anyway, lately I've been "window shopping" online for travel kits and things to take with me when I'm "on-the-go". And like the MAC 129 short handle brush, I'm also looking for travel eyeshadow brushes. I just want something to take with me when I'm "on-the-go" so I don't have to take all my brushes with me whenever I go places. This Smashbox Traveler Brush Kit runs for $60 at Ulta. They look pretty good to me but I guess I gotta see it to believe it if I ever do consider buying it. I hate buying expensive ass brushes that end up disappointing me in the end.

So because I successfully got through my super hard test of the week, I decided to go to CCO and see what they got in store for me. Plus I wanted to visit my favorite stalker sales person but it was too bad she wasn't there. LOL. Anyway, the CCO down here is pretty weak. I was disappointed in my findings because there wasn't much that I would find myself buying or even using for that matter! I just bought two lipglasses which I'm very satisfied with. The colors are so pretty! One is Electro-Lush which I'm wearing right now and OMG... can I say new favorite lipglass?! Forreal though! Haha. I also got Sock Hop from the Heatherette collection. This would've been my 2nd choice of l/g when the collection came out, but when I went to go buy it they were sold out so I was happy they had it this time. I also got a make-up bag from DW [a make-up line for Lancome]. It's so cute and it's a pretty hot pink color!

I haven't been doing so many FOTDS and if I do, they're mostly neutrals & browns. But other than, it's just been nothing but my "natural look" for the past few days.
