Look Using Earth Goddes Minerals

I love mineral makeup. There's just something about their versatility that I love! I also notice that sometimes mineral makeup comes up with the most amazing colors and you're just wondering why nobody has ever come up with such a color before. That's how I felt when I received a few samples of Earth Goddess Minerals. I fell in love with so many of the colors and the possibilities are just endless because of the amazing color variations that they have.

Earth Goddess Minerals is a vegan and gluten free line of makeup, created for women who have allergies and sensitivities to mainstream makeup. All of their Multipurpose Minerals have a few uses such as:  when mixed with clear gloss can be a lip gloss, can use as blush, mixed with purified water can be liquid eyeliner, etc.

Doll Eyed Look Using Lash Royalty

My dog chewed up my memory stick for the camera that I usually use to take my makeup looks with so I had to settle for my bulky DSLR which sucks because even though it takes amazing pictures, it's not user friendly when I'm trying to take pictures of eye closeups and what not. So I did my best to take as good enough pictures I can with what I had.

Anyway, if you read my last post, you know that I received some false eyelashes from LashRoyalty and it included these short stubby lashes which looked like they were meant for your lower lash line. Today I decided to play around with it since I've NEVER tried putting lashes on my lower lash line before. For an Asian girl, my lower lashes are fairly long but I still wanted to give this a try.

I kept it totally natural. No eye makeup whatsoever except eyeliner and a highlight color on the inner corners just to make my eyes pop. Other than that, I just let the lashes do all the work. Anyway, I tried to make this as dolled up as I can. I even threw in my contact lenses to really make them pop. I'm wearing Fresh Look lenses in Sterling Grey, if anybody is curious.

LOOK: Sultry Golden + Lash Royalty - Review, Photos and Swatches

I was kind enough to receive lashes from Lash Royalty and you guys know how crazed I am over lashes! I was inspired by the name Lash Royalty because when I think of Royalty I think of high status, major blingage, the one who wears the crown, etc. I also wanted to use my Sugarpill Goldilux loose eyeshadow so I decided to put two amazing products together into one look. I hope you like it! Products used and review on these lashes at the end. :)

→ I received these lashes from LashRoyalty.com and I love them! I love everything from its packaging to the lashes. These lashes are very comparable to your top of the line lashes because they are made with such great quality. The look and feel of them couldn't be any more comfortable on my eyes.

→ One drawback about these lashes is the variety of lashes are that are available. But then again, all the lashes are very different in their own way that there has to be one design out there for everyone! Another drawback would have to be the price. At $15 a pair, I could probably stock up on 4 pairs of lashes from a different brand. But keep in mind the quality of these lashes! The lashes aren't at all flimsy, and the band isn't too thick where it feels stiff and uncomfortable.

→ If you see the look I did above, you can see that I'm not wearing any obvious eyeliner on my upper lash line because I wanted to show you guys how close I was able to get to my real lash line with these lashes. While some lashes feel heavy on my eyes, these felt very light like I wasn't wearing any!

I believe these are bottom lashes.

It's Been 2 Years

I can't believe my blog turned 2 this month. It has come a long way and I honestly could not have done any of this if it wasn't for the support of my viewers. There were times where I almost wanted to stop my makeup blog all together but after realizing the growing number of viewers I've gotten since I've started my blog, I couldn't imagine quitting and leaving you all with nothing.

Some of you might not know this but I started "beauty blogging" way before Tina Marie Online was created. Believe it or not, I actually started off on YouTube back in 2006-2007! Within a few months of just having a YouTube account, I managed to get over 900 subscribers. But things changed and I deleted my YouTube account. Since then I never really thought about making a comeback into the YouTube scene. I'm perfectly fine where I am here on Blogger.

I get a lot of questions asking why I don't make YouTube videos. The reason why is because I feel like Blogger has a more tight-knit community as far as beauty blogging goes. And YouTube is more. . . all over the place! Not that that's a bad thing. I just rather keep my talent here on Blogger where everything is just simple and more discreet than YouTube. Plus, I'm uber camera shy! But in case I do decide to make YouTube videos, I just want to say that I would focus my channel more on makeup looks and tutorials rather than hauls and monthly favorites and all that. Because that sh*t gets annoying! =X

Anyway, now that it's been 2 years, I can't ever imagine stopping what I'm doing here. There may be times where I might not update as often as I should (which is living proof right now because I'm so horrible at updating this blog) but as far as actually quitting, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Makeup is my hobby. It's what I do when I have time for myself. I'm sure all you ladies concur! Not only is it a stress-reliever, but it makes us feel good about ourselves! I learned so much on my own with my makeup blog and honestly it's been so deserving. Having a makeup blog changed my life. And whether it changed my life in a miniscule way or not, the point is it did! I never would've had opportunities to meet people, to try new things, to actually know what it feels like to be a makeup artist, or to actually have someone call me a makeup artist! It's just insane and I'm so grateful.

I still have so much to learn. And everyday I'm learning new things. I still have yet to feel like I'm even good enough to use what I know out in the real world which is why I keep doing what I doing. If it wasn't for all the positive feedback I get from all of my loyal readers, I wouldn't feel motivated to keep blogging. Even though sometimes I feel like my makeup looks aren't as good as what I had intended, there's nothing I appreciate more than people taking the time to acknowledge my ability. In short, this is just my way of thanking everyone so much for their unconditional support. xoxoxo.

EOTD: Everyday Eyes

I found this look on my hard drive but I don't think I ever planned on posting this. But after staring at it for a while I realized it isn't too bad of an EOTD so I figured I might as well put it up for those who might appreciate it. Unfortunately, I don't remember what I used in this look. What a shame because I would've loved to share with everyone since it came out pretty decent. Well, hope you enjoy it anyway. (:

EOTD: Pink Flash Using Sugarpill Cosmetics

Here is yet again another look using Sugarpill Cosmetics. I can't even begin to describe how much I love these eyeshadows They're so velvety smooth and I just never experienced such amazing pigmentation ever! I had a look using these colors envisioned in my mind but it didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to be but nonetheless it still came out pretty good.

I also noticed that the red on my eyelid looks as if it's beginning to crease but it's actually just the eyeshadow itself that's doing that. It's not really creasing. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this. Let me know how you guys feel about this super bright look!

First Look Using Sugarpill Cosmetics

I was so excited to receive my Sugarpill package. I have heard so many good things about this cosmetics line that I just had to get my hands on their products. The color pigmentation is amazing. The colors are really creamy and smooth and they blend so well together. I seriously cannot wait to play around with more of these colors. I hope you enjoy this look!
