DollyEye Violet Circle Lenses Review + Photos

Here's a review for the DollyEye Violet Circle Lenses courtesy of Pinkyparadise.com. I have to first begin by mentioning that these circle lenses are not your typical natural looking lenses. If the word "violet" didn't throw you off already, these pictures will show you exactly what I mean. Even though they are pretty unnatural, I do love that about them. When it comes to colored lenses I do prefer something more obvious and these do just that! I probably wouldn't wear these as much as the EOS Candy Brown circle lenses but they're definitely fun to have! Like I mentioned in my other review, it is recommended that you do not wear contact lenses for no more than 8 hours out of your day.

I give these circle lenses about a 8/10 based on comfort level. These particular lenses took a little bit of adjusting when I finally got them on. They irritated my eyes just a tad bit but nothing too extreme. They got more and more comfortable in just a matter of minutes. These lenses also dried my eyes out a lot quicker so I highly recommend keeping really good eye lubricants around because you'll definitely need them within a few hours, if not right away! I also noticed my vision was kind of blurry in the beginning but it eventually cleared up.

These lenses are far more obvious especially in flash photography and in natural sunlight. In low light, they are still fairly noticeable but not as much. These lenses are pretty large but not as compared to EOS Candy Brown circle lenses which are a 14.5mm in diameter. Because they're not as large, they don't really give me the dolly eye look but I still enjoy the look of them.

These run for about $25.90. They may be a bit pricey but keep in mind that some basic purple/violet lenses do not come off as opaque as these do. If you have dark colored eyes, these lenses will have no problem showing up. However, with dark eyes, they do appear a bluish purple (which is the definition of violet) but in the lens case alone they look more purple. Nonetheless, you won't confuse the color of these lenses once you have them on because they're extremely vibrant! Definitely worth trying!
