Too Faced Decade of Glamour Beauty Wardrobe Photos & Swatches (Photo Heavy)

Too Faced Decade of Glamour Beauty Wardrobe is a makeup kit that consists of products put together that are considered some of the best sellers over the past ten years.

My aunt actually gave this to me as a gift so I thought I'd take pictures as well as eyeshadow swatches. I think this kit came out in 2008 and is discontinued as it's not longer available on the Sephora website. These eyeshadows and lippies may be available individually or in other makeup kits.

LOOK: Blissfully Blue

I was looking through my eyeshadow drawer and I was digging around and found this eyeshadow trio from Maybelline that I haven't used yet. This trio is still fairly new and if you know me, I love Maybelline eyeshadows.

I have to be honest that I wasn't very happy with this particular trio. It actually looks much better in the palette than it does on my eyes. Nonetheless, this trio is gorgeous! In order for the blue eyeshadow to really pop, I highly recommend applying a blue colored base.

I used my Sony digital camera to take my eye shots so the colors appear washed out. But in person, the blue is actually more vibrant and not as light as it's shown in the pictures. I hope you enjoy this look and hopefully I can get in more looks before I leave for the Philippines. Talk to you guys later!

WHAT I USED:
EYES:

BROW color (lightest) on the inner corner (also applied above crease and inner lower lashline)
LID color (blue) applied to the middle eyelid (also applied to middle lower lashline)
CREASE color (dark) applied to outer corner (also applied to outer lower lashline)
MAC Carbon eyeshadow applied to outer corner
MAC Royal Wink fluidline (discontinued) applied to upper lashline
L'Oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner applied to upper lashline
MAC Smolder eyeliner
Maybelline Turbo Boost mascara on upper and lower lashes
Elegent Lahses #015

LIPS:
Revlon Nude Attitude l/s
NYX Natural l/g

Product Review: Batiste Dry Shampoo

Read Mabeth's review on this product

I've been searching for dry shampoos for a while now because I think they are a great way to get your hair feeling clean and soft when you don't have time to wash your hair. I was thinking of purchasing dry shampoo at Sephora but I wanted to hold back until I found something that was not as expensive. Mabeth's Makeup did a review on this product and I noticed how much cheaper it was so I wanted to purchase it.

** Important Note: even though dry shampoos refresh your hair in between washes, it's always important to wash your hair on a regular basis because it's good hygiene!! **

Start off with oily/greasy hair.
This is how my hair looks like after 2 days of not washing it.

Spray the can lightly and evenly throughout the top of your head.
You can even lift your hair up in some areas to get close your roots.

Use your fingertips to massage your scalp until the product is absorbed.
There will be white residue left in your hair so brush your with a hairbrush.

After brushing your hair through, the dry shampoo should already be absorbed
and your hair should feel clean and soft and oil free!

Before & After

Batiste Dry Shampoo Original - with a refreshing fragrance, revitalizes greasy, dull and lifeless hair between washes. Instantly leaves your hair feeling clean, full of body and smelling beautiful. Quick and convenient to use wherever you are.

WHAT IT IS: It's shampoo in a can! It's a white powder that sprays onto your hair that absorbs the natural oils that build up in your hair over time. It reduces the appearance of dirty, greasy hair without the use of shampoo and water.

AVAILABLE AT: Sally Beauty Supply
PRICE: $6-$9
SIZE: 150ml (5.05 fl.oz)
VALUE FOR PRICE: 4/5
EASE OF USE: 5/5
PACKAGING: 5/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 4/5
OVERALL USE: 4/5

PROS:
Inexpensive for a big can. Other dry shampoos come in 3oz cans (or less) selling for $12-$18 at Sephora
It does absorb the oil from your hair
It made my hair look cleaner
Easy to use
Not messy at all
Has a pleasant smell to it
Comes in different scents

CONS:
If you don't brush your hair after rubbing it in, it will leave a white tint in your hair. So people with dark hair, don't forget to brush!
Even after brushing my hair, it still looked like there was a white residue. It's not so visible in person but on camera it looks obvious.
Hair still felt dirty after use

OVERALL:
We all have those days where we want to sleep in or we wake up late knowing we have to be out the door in a few minutes. This product is good to have when you haven't had the time to wash your hair and you need to be somewhere fast.

I also notice that my bangs get oily faster than the rest of my hair does because I touch my bangs a lot when I brush it off my face. The oil from your hands can cause your hair to be oily faster so this product is also nice to carry in your bag for a nice pick-me-up throughout the day.

I wouldn't replace dry shampoo with your regular shampoo and conditioner. I would only use this product if I absolutely needed to.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT? Yes
WOULD I PURCHASE AGAIN? Yes

Clarisonic Haul

I went to Sephora and I finally bought myself a Clarisonic skin cleansing system. I purchased the Mia which is a travel friendly version of the original Clarisonic except the Mia has an international charger that works worldwide. I think the Mia is perfect for me since I'm going to the Philippines next month. I also chose the limited edition Mia which comes with a travel bag and an additional brush head.

I've only used my Clarisonic once and I must say that after I was finished using this, I felt really refreshed and it felt like I was just given a facial. To be honest, I almost felt like I wanted to go to sleep after I used this because it felt really relaxing.

I'm not sure if I'll be doing a product review for this. I think there are more than enough reviews on this product online but we'll see. All I really have to say that's bad about this product is its price. The Clarisonic Mia runs for about $145 and the regular for about $200. It's really pricey most especially for me but I've been wanting this product for quite some time now so it was a must-have on my list.

Questions for my readers:
1. Clarisonic users, how do you like this system so far? Any pros? cons?

2. For those who don't have one, would you consider purchasing one?

Updates + Philippines Trip + a Nose Job!?

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted in a really long time. I apologize. Basically I'm gonna say everything that's gonna be happening all in this post so you know exactly what's gonna happen in the next couple of months. But before I get to that I just want to apologize for not doing any looks in a really long time. I haven't played with makeup, or even touched my makeup for that matter. With all the looks that I've done you might think I do my makeup everyday but I really don't. I'm more of an eyeliner and blush kind of girl so when I do makeup looks, they're usually done for fun.

But with the winter season coming very quickly, I've decided to keep my looks natural. And I'm not speaking for just makeup. I'm keeping my hair its natural color, I'm growing out my bangs and I'm wearing minimal makeup. And to be honest, I'm happy with that.

It's possible that I might be in hiatus for a little bit longer because next month I'm going to the Philippines and I won't be back until mid January. It's also a possibility that I'll be going to Hong Kong. It's my second time going to the Philippines and I'm excited to go because I want to go shopping and search for makeup because I didn't have the opportunity to do that the last time I was there. Also, as you can tell by the title of my post, I am in fact getting a nose job there. Eeeeek! I'm kind of nervous! More so as a child my family would always crack jokes about how flat or how big my nose is. Mean right?! Haha just kidding. But this is supposedly a present from my parents. What's weird is that I wasn't even suggesting that I get a nose job. It was all my moms idea so I just said okay.

Anyway, I don't know how you guys feel about cosmetic surgery. I know some of you might believe that everyone should appreciate the gifts God gives them. That's true for the most part but it's not like I'm getting rid of my nose. I'm just making it better looking! So before I get any comments regarding your opinion about my getting rhinoplasty, take a deep breath before you say anything hostile, though I would fully accept constructive criticism.

I was also thinking about scheduling some of my posts so it doesn't seem like I've been in complete hiatus from now until the new year. I can maybe do a couple of looks and schedule them to post at different time intervals so it seems as if I'm updating my blog when I'm actually across the Pacific in a completely different timezone. =P

I almost forgot to mention that Victor is moving to San Diego in January as well. He'll be here when I get back from the Philippines so I'm really excited! You guys have no idea.... actually you guys probably do have an idea how happy I must feel since a number of you are probably avid readers of my blog since the beginning of when I first started doing blog posts. Anyway, any details regarding Victor and other stuff can be found on my personal blog. Until then, I'll see you guys soon I hope.

Eye Cream Recommendations

I'm on a hunt to find a really good eye cream. I'm looking for something for the daytime so SPF would be a plus and something else for night. I need an eye cream specifically made to reduce the appearance dark circles and fine lines and wrinkles and something that would brighten my eyes. My life depends on concealer especially for my dark circles and I really want to consider a different alternative since I don't want to use makeup everyday. If anyone can help me, please recommend any products or any other regimens I could consider. Thanks for the help!
