(CLOSED) FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY: Sigma's Synthetic Face Kit + Review and Photos

Sigma Beauty's Synthetic Face Kit ($42.00) offers flawless, high definition makeup application. These brushes can be used for applying liquid, powder, and cream products without excessive absorption into its fibers because of the synthetic filament built into their bristles.

FIRST IMPRESSION:
When I first opened my package I immediately noticed the cute drawstring bag where the brushes were placed. I also noticed the brushes included  brush guards. This is great for maintaining your brush's shape when they're not in use! It also includes a pamphlet that informs you about the brushes and about their affiliate program!

From my first initial reaction I noticed how amazingly soft the bristles were. I also liked that the handles were short because it fits really snug in my hand and it gives more control in application. They also look and feel very professional and you can tell they're made with really good quality.

Product Description:

F80 - Flat Top Kabuki
The F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush is perfect for applying and blending liquid, cream, and powder products onto the skin. The flat surface allows perfect buffing with flawless results. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

F82 - Round Top Kabuki
The F82 Round Top Kabuki brush simplifies precise makeup application under the eyes and around the nose. This brush is also perfect for achieving flawless coverage using liquid and powder products. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

F84 - Angled Top Kabuki
The F84 Angled Top Kabuki brush is the perfect brush for precise, yet blended application of products on the cheeks. It seamlessly applies cream, powder and liquid products. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

F84, F80, F82

F84 - Angled Top Kabuki - I like using this brush for applying blush and contouring. My first impression was that this brush was too dense for applying blush and I would end up over applying it. However, it provides just the right amount to your cheeks without it looking too overdone. I prefer to use it more for contouring because it provides precise application but still allowing you to blend out any harshness.

F80 - Flat Top Kabuki - This brush is great for applying liquid and cream products. It blends easily, giving a nice smooth finish to your face. It blends foundation well into your skin that it looks like you're not wearing any! I use this brush in a stippling motion to distribute my foundation and finish off with buffing motions to give it that airbrush look! I generally don't use powder foundations but I have used this brush to set my foundation with translucent power. I do have to say that I don't like it very much for powder because I feel like it applies too heavily, so liquids and creams are my best bet!

F82 - Round Top Kabuki - Out of all three brushes, this is the brush I use the least. Not that this isn't a great brush. I just find that its features generally have the same purpose as the other two and I don't really need to use it unless I have to. It allows you to buff your foundation just like the Flat Top would and it's great for contouring just like the Angled Top. That's why I usually tend to reach more towards the other two brushes because they're more distinct. My main uses of this brush is to blend foundation and powder into areas around the eyes and nose, basically areas that your standard foundation or powder brush can't reach.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I've been using these brushes everyday since for a couple of weeks now and so far I really like them. I haven't had any problems with using them and they definitely live up to their standards. There's no shedding within the bristles except for maybe 1 or 2 strands when I was washing the Flat Top Kabuki. Other than that the bristles stay in place and they don't fray even after several washes. I think the entire kit is very suitable for everyone because of the multiple uses you get out of them. So there's really no right or wrong way to use these! I definitely recommend this set!

My Current Nail Polish Remover

Milk Flavor Nail Art Polish Remover Nail Enamel Remover
Price: $9.16 USD
Capacity: 150 ml

If you're like me then you probably change your nail polish several times in a month. I get tired of my nails even after 3 days of wearing nail polish! So I thought I would share with you my current nail polish remover from Born Pretty Store. I usually use drugstore nail polish remover since I'm not that into buying expensive nail care items. I mostly look for items that get the job done.

This particular nail polish remover is quite different than what you typically use to remove your polish, but it works! The consistency of this is, what it claims to be, like milk. It has a pleasant coconut scent to it so you don't have that harsh acetone smell. It leaves a greasy residue on your fingers which to me was pretty odd at first. I didn't like that oily feeling but at the same time it helps to nourish your nails rather than exposing it to harsh chemicals. So after I remove my polish I always wash my hands otherwise you're going to have greasy fingers.

I wouldn't say this polish has any huge differences in its performance next to other nail polish removers. I have had better, but like I said it gets the job done! I do find that I don't have to scrub my nails as much as I would with regular nail polish remover. That's a good thing because I hate scrubbing nail polish off my nails which can be a little damaging to the cuticles.

Overall, it's a good product that I'll continue to use until I run out but it's not something to go crazy over. I would recommend it if you want to try something different or if you dislike the harshness of acetone.

ASOS Quilted Lock Across Cross Body Bag

I ordered this cross body bag not too long from ASOS as a birthday present for myself. Believe it or not it cost me only $25 with free shipping! It was an amazing deal and I was really happy I found it. But I'm gonna go a little off track because I feel like it should be mentioned. I thought my package wasn't going to arrive! Their tracking information was inaccurate most of the time and as I check back on it now, it still says it's in transit. The tracking information hardly changed and I was afraid it had gotten lost because it was in Nevada in transit to its "destination". I thought it was so strange being that I'm all the way in California! So it caught me by surprise when I got it in the mail because I didn't expect it. So just look out for something like that if you do decide to order from their site. Anyway, it's here in one piece so that's all that matters to me!

I've been searching for a cross body bag with the woven chain on the strap for a decent price. This bag is great because you can dress it up or dress it down. It looks good with a black dress if you head out but it goes great even with a pair of jeans. It's great for running errands because you're pretty much handsfree but you still have all your necessary items close by you. You don't have to stick your phone or wallet in your pockets anymore, or even rummage inside your big purse just to find something. And that happens to me a lot! The gold-finish clasp makes it especially easy to get in and out of it and the length is just right for me.

This bag is surprisingly very roomy, too! There's so much space that I could fit my iPhone, keys, wallet, digital camera, blot powder, lippies and MORE all inside it. Overall, the quality feels very sturdy although it is faux leather. It's still well worth it for me! :)

Thank my boyfriend for his stolen shots of the bag haha :p

NYX Haul: Round Lipsticks & Blush

This is the first time in a really long time that I've done a haul post! :P

NYX Cosmetics recently had their 12th anniversary sale (or should I say fail?) I didn't get a chance to purchase anything during that particular sale because of the many issues I heard about their website being down. Instead, I took advantage of their 50% off including free shipping sale that they had. I don't have that many NYX products just because I haven't come around to actually trying them. They're easily obtainable where I live so I figured there was no rush for me to go out there and buy everything. But I couldn't pass up on the sale! I only have a few eyeshadows, jumbo eyeshadow pencils, lipglosses and lipsticks from them. I decided to stock up on more lipsticks and blushes since I consider those more of the popular items from their cosmetics line.

Swatches will be posted next!
Did you purchase anything from the NYX sale?

Blushes: Mauve, Terra Cotta, Red, Mocha, Pinched
Round Lipsticks: Marrakesh Pink, Femme, Orange Soda, Tea Rose, Circe, Thalia
