LOOK: Plum & Orange Gradient

I had this idea of a look envisioned in my mind and it was done using these same colors but it didn't come out exactly as I had hoped. Nevertheless I really like how this look came out. I like it because I stepped away from using black eyeshadow, which is pretty much my "comfort blanket" color. When all things go wrong, just add black eyeshadow to make it smokey and I'm good. I almost busted it out but I'm glad I didn't. Even though this look is just okay to me, it is something I find different compared to MOST of the looks I do. I'm usually the type do a gradient from the inner to the outer corners. This time I went vertically which I don't do very often. I know I'm getting way too technical but I hope you know what I'm talking about haha! Anyway, hope you all like it. It isn't very visible when my eyes are opened so I made sure I had some head shots with my eyes closed to show you all. Enjoy! :)

Smokey Teal Look

Hello everyone! I'm back again with another look, this time I was going for teal. I also decided to use these false eyelashes that were really difficult for me to pull off because they were uncomfortable and they didn't look right on me. I have so many pairs of them and I couldn't just let them sit there and collect dust. I ended up curling these false eyelashes with my eyelash curler to give them more flare and I must say, I'm glad I did! I didn't realize how gorgeous these lashes were until I curled them myself. Originally, they were straight and had very little volume. And you can see how full and voluminous they are now, not to mention comfortable! In case anyone might ask, I didn't curl the false eyelashes when they were already on my eyes. I curled them separately! Hope you all like this look. Tell me what you all think! Enjoy! :)

St. Patty's Day Look

Hey beautifuls! I meant to post this look yesterday as my St. Patrick's Day look but I didn't have any time to blog. I figured yesterday would be a good time to incorporate some colors in my makeup, and what better way to break the ice than to do a bright neon green look! My camera still has a hard time picking up the intensity of my makeup so it appeared a lot brighter in person. So these pictures don't do much justice. I guess this look turned out okay for me. I'm a little rusty in my makeup and it shows a lot in this look. But it's all good for me! You win some, you lose some. And the whole point of blogging my looks is to see my progress. So yeah! Anyway, hope you all have a great rest of the week. Enjoy! :)

This was taken through a special effect on my camera. I thought it brought out the green a lot! :)

EOTD: Smokey Eye With A Hint Of Purple + Braided Headband

Here's a very subtle smokey eye with a touch of purple that I did the other day. I haven't been doing too much with my looks lately so this is pretty much the most I've been doing. I hope you guys aren't missing my looks too much because this is the most I've done in a while. Even less on most days! I've also been having pretty bad eyebrow days as well. Yeah, I do have my bad eyebrow days and I've been having them on a regular basis. So that's one reason why I've been feeling so unmotivated to do more looks. Anyway, just thought I would squeeze this look in for you all. Hope you enjoy it!

EYES:
UDPP as a primer
MAC Bare Study paint pot applied as a second base
MAC Brule eyeshadow applied to the eyelids and as a highlight
MAC Nylon eyeshadow applied on top of Brule
MAC Romp eyeshadow applied to the crease
MAC Carbon eyeshadow to darken the crease
MAC Cork eyeshadow to soften the outer edge
Maybelline Gel Liner on upper lash line
UDPP eyeliner in Zero applied to waterline
Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadow in Tattoo applied to lower lash line
False eyelashes from Born Pretty Store

A few days ago I also wanted to try something new to my hair  because I was bored with it. So I decided to copy this YouTube video tutorial of this braided headband hairstyle that I thought was cute. I still haven't mastered how to fix my hair this way because it was a little bit uncomfortable and I didn't pin them very tightly to my head so they felt loose. But I thought I would share with you guys anyway! You ladies should try it!

Purple EOTD

I finally had the chance to play with makeup yesterday. I decided to go with purple since it never fails me! I decided to use some colors that I haven't touched in a while (which is practically everything) but more specifically the purples. Back then purple eyes were my go-to look. If I didn't want to go with something too neutral but I didn't want to go all out on a smokey eye, then purple would definitely be my next choice. Hope you like it. :)

The main colors used were MAC Beautiful Iris on the inner half of the eyelid, Parfait Amour on the outer half, and MUFE #92 to darken the crease. I also used Brule on the inner tear ducts and as a highlight, and Carbon eyeshadow to make it a little bit smokey. I also used Ransom eyeliner from Urban Decay on my lower lash line and applied falsies from ES Lashes.

Lusting Over...

Nude Pumps! I need to get me a pair ASAP! About a month ago I was at the mall and I saw that nude heels were resurfacing again. I was aware of how popular they were for a while now but I had just realized how much they are a necessity to my shoe collection. I could just imagine myself wearing a black cocktail dress struttin' my stuff with some 5 inch platform pumps. And YES, they need to be platform! I just love how nude pumps elongate your legs and they could be worn as both casual and formal. I need me a pair.. badly! If anyone could recommend a good pair of nude pumps let me know

I love these nude platform pumps from Aldo. It has a 5.5 inch heel with a 1.5 inch platform. They run for $80 but I'm a little unsure about Aldo shoes. I hear a lot about their shoes being uncomfortable on your feet. I guess it just depends what you get. But I love these! The color is called Caprecoral.

These are available at both Macy's and Nordstrom. I saw these and thought they were so cute especially with the bow accent. I don't really like the way the toe looks but everything else looks cute! These are DV by Dolce Vita and they cost $89.95. I would probably pass up on these but if they were to ever go on sale, I would definitely consider them!

These are from Steve Madden called BEVV-B Blush Mult. They're super cute!! Even though I'm looking for more solid nude pumps, these would go so well with leggings or skinny jeans. These go for $99.95.

This is from Christian Louboutin and they're the Bianca 140 mm. This pair is far beyond my budget but a girl could dream right?! Unfortunately these are $775. I love the red soles though! I don't think I would ever spend this much on a pair of shoes. But I'll keep this in mind when I become rich. :)

Not An EOTD :)

Hello! New layout! I'm still in the process of editing this layout so bare with me as I am not HTML or CSS savvy! Anywho, I can't remember the last time I actually played with makeup. I haven't really had the time to make any looks that are worth posting on my blog. They've all just been simple EOTD's like I have posted here. How boring, right? But today I figured that I should post something ... anything !! Especially since I haven't been around that much lately. Anyway, hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon. February has been a hectic month for me so hopefully all of that can change with time. So here I am camera whoring with my dog Toby! He looks a little scared in the pictures but that's because I was in front of a window and he was looking out into the street at cars passing by lol. I'll talk to all of you later! :)

Please excuse my huge FIVEhead!

My little bear, Toby. He's a Pomeranian mix with something. I can't remember!
