Wuzzyangel is hosting a giveaway in support of breast cancer awareness. I'm mainly doing this because I actually suffered a loss of a family member through cancer (a different kind of cancer). So I dedicate this to my loved one and to all the cancer survivors out there. Please enter her contest to show your support!

Some facts about breast cancer:

• Breast cancer is about 100 times as frequent among women as among men, but survival rates are equal in both sexes.
•  One in eight women or 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer in her lifetime. 
• The most common cancer in women, no matter your race or ethnicity.
• Breast cancer is the leading killer of women ages 35 to 54. 
• All women are at risk for developing breast cancer whether they have known risk factors.
• The majority of breast cancer patients had no known risk factors, other than being female, for this frightening disease.
• Breastfeeding may actually decrease the risk of perimenopausal breast cancer.  
• More than two million women currently living in the U.S. have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer.
• An estimated 1,910 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an estimated 440 will die in 2009.
• Only about 10-15 percent of breast cancers occur because of inherited genetic traits.
• Women are less at risk of developing breast cancer if they eat a healthy diet and exercise.
• You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.
