AVAILABILITY:  GloProfessionals
PRICE: $16.50 USD
VALUE FOR PRICE: 1/5
APPLICATION: 3.5/5
PACKAGING: 3/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 3/5
OVERALL PRODUCT: 1/5

PROS:
□ Provides antioxidants and Vitamins (A, C, E, and Green Tea extract)
□ Safe for contact lens wearers
□ Eyelashes felt more flexible rather than hard

CONS:
□ Didn't notice any eyelash growth
□ Didn't lengthen or thicken my lashes
□ Not waterproof

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
□ This mascara was pretty much a miss for me. I generally use this mascara under my false eyelashes because I would not wear this alone. It didn't do much for my lashes and it seemed like it only coated my lashes but didn't really provide any length or volume. The brush seemed to work okay at separating the lashes but the wand itself seemed pretty standard and had no special characteristic to it. Probably after the first coat, the mascara started to clump my lashes making them look uneven in size and direction. I tried to "declump" my lashes and move them to make them look more uniform but it just didn't work. If you're one who is looking for a natural finish type of mascara then you'll have no problem with this one.

OVERALL PRODUCT: 4/5

PROS:
□ Includes a mix of different eyeshadow finishes (frosts and mattes)
□ Great for creating subtle everyday eyes to dramatic smokey eyes
□ Eyeshadows are smooth in texture
□ Eyeshadows are vibrant when packed on

CONS:
□ Some eyeshadows were too powdery
□ Matte colors were streaky if not applied evenly
□ Excess blending would make the shadows look muddy
□ Not the most pigmented, depending on the type of primer/base used
□ Pricey

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
□ For someone like myself who has tried all types of eyeshadows from drugstore to high end, I'm pretty particular about what I consider quality made products. This palette was just okay for me. It took me several tries to get the most out of it because I tried different primers and bases to find what worked best. I found that creamier bases work better for these shadows because it has something "sticky" to adhere to. So a base is a must in order for these shadows to show up because using them alone probably won't show up as much as one would like it to.

□ These shadows work better when they are packed on rather than swiped especially for building up intensity. That's why in the swatches they look really vibrant because I packed on a lot of eyeshadow to show you how intense it can be. But for someone who prefers subtle smokey eyes or a wash of color, then a quick swipe with a blending brush would justify. I think both who prefer simplicity or boldness could both benefit from this palette but I do prefer it more for people who are more into subtle looks. Nonetheless I think the color choices in this palette are spot on. I do love the neutral shades, plus the different finishes, and it would be great for bringing with me for travel as my all-in-one makeup palette.

Urban Decay Naked Palette Swatches

It took me this long to finally get my hands on the first Urban Decay Naked Palette. I figured that since it's a permanent item, I wasn't in any rush to get it. Of course there are those who are desperate to get their hands on everything the moment it comes out but I'm still holding back on the Naked 2 Palette and I probably won't purchase that until it hits stores... no matter how tempting it is to see that it's in stock on their website right now. Sephora stores are fully stocked on Naked Palettes now, unlike before where they were always sold out. But it seems that majority of you have already got your hands on this palette, except for me at the time. That's why it was a perfect opportunity for me to get it. Actually my boyfriend bought it for me :P

But already so many of you have requested that I do a lot of looks and tutorials using this palette and don't worry, they're coming! And I know you all have probably seen swatches already but I like to include my own. :)

Bestie's Graduation Makeup

Why does it still feel like October to me?! Then I think about it and we're already almost halfway through December! Time flies and we're only 9 days away till Christmas and I'm not ready! Well TGIF! This week felt like it was going by really slow for some reason but I'm just glad the weekend is here. I need to finish up some Christmas shopping and I gotta find a new dress to wear for Christmas Eve. I only wish time can slow down just a little bit!

I was really excited when my amazingly gorgeous best friend asked me to do her makeup for her graduation! I've never done her makeup before and I always knew she was good with makeup already :) But of course I couldn't say no and I thought this would be a good chance for me to practice more on different faces especially since she has more of a monolid which is the opposite of what I have.

After I got the feel of where her crease was, it was pretty easy to emphasize it. She wanted a subtle brown smokey look but nothing too dramatic. In my opinion I feel like this is how she normally looks while others thought she looked different. Either way, she was the hottest college graduate that day :D

Holiday Party!

Last weekend I attended a charity event hosted by Elessa from Pursebuzz here in San Diego at Bellus Academy. It was a lot of fun and a good experience for me and I'm really happy I went! It was so funny because I was feeling nervous especially when I was meeting Elessa since she was the first Guru I ever started watching on YouTube (almost 5 years ago!) It felt like meeting a celebrity haha! Had a great time though! My friend and I got our nails and makeup done and we were able to meet other fellow Gurus on Youtube. More photos of the event here and here :)

Sparkling Green & Gold Holiday Makeup Look

I'm back with another Holiday look! This time I'm focusing more on the eyes :) My last Holiday look was done with simple eyes and bold lips (check it out here) So I wanted to be a little more festive but still wearable. I was planning to do a tutorial for this look but my camera was acting weird so I was only able to take pictures of it after. Let me know what my next look for the Holidays should be! I need ideas! :D

By the way, I'm in LOVE with my MAC Underplay lipstick. I purchased it a long time ago at a CCO so I know it's discontinued now but if anyone is aware of a possible dupe then please let me know!
