FINAL THOUGHTS:
□ I'm in love with the Temptu Airbrush System! Airbrushing is completely new to me so I was slightly intimidated at first but I found it really easy to use. On top of that, it's a lot faster to apply compared to your basic liquid foundation because you don't have to deal with blending or buffing foundation to your skin. I have combination skin and that usually makes it difficult for me to find a foundation that's a perfect balance between my skin type. The Temptu foundation works for all skin types so I love that it doesn't dry out my skin and it doesn't accentuate the oils in my face. It also doesn't oxidize throughout the day. The foundation literally looks the same when you first applied it and it also feels really light and breathable. Other foundations feel heavy and it feels like you're wearing makeup but the Temptu airbrush makeup not only feels really natural and but also looks natural too! This airbrush system is definitely a luxury item rather than a necessity so it's definitely something to consider. But I'm positive it's an investment that you won't regret. :)

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush Review and Swatches

I've been on a blush kick lately. Earlier this week I went ahead and picked up 2 of the new Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes because I was curious to know how these held up. I've never tried a blush quite like this. It's not a solid and it's not quite your typical cream blush either. It has a bit of give to it, hence the name "bouncy" blush. It has a almost like a marshmallowy mixed with play-doh type of texture if that makes any sense. I've never tried their mousse blush before so I can't make any comparison between the two.

Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin and Pink Frosting

Peach Satin and Pink Frosting swatched heavily

AVAILABILITY: Drugstores
PRICE: $8 USD
SIZE: .19 OZ / 5.6 g
VALUE FOR PRICE: 3/5
APPLICATION: 3.5/5
PACKAGING: 5/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 4/5
OVERALL PRODUCT: 3/5

PROS:
□ Comes in a wide range of colors
□ Could be used as a base for your blush
□ Color is buildable
□ Blends easily

CONS:
□ Color payoff is very sheer
□ Wipes away easily
□ Not long lasting

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I find that these blushes go on a bit sheer. It's buildable but I feel like I would be wasting more product that way. I think if you're lighter than NC30 in MAC, these blushes would be more suitable for you otherwise you would just be layering on another blush right on top of it which is what I had to do. These blushes give more of a natural rosy cheek look, therefore; it shows up very faint. At first I thought it would be best to use a dense brush for application but I find that a fluffy brush works just as fine. Keep in mind the color payoff is not the most pigmented so you may be layering on the color just to get a decent amount to appear on your cheeks. Overall, I find that these are more fun to touch than their intended purpose.

KkCenterHk's Beauty Angel Special Edition Makeup Kit

The Beauty Angel Makeup Kit from KkCenterHk comes in 4 palettes - blue, gold, green, and purple. The packaging of each palette is so cute! I love that it looks like a tiny book or a magazine. Any person would never guess there was a makeup palette inside! The packaging is made of cardboard but it is enclosed by a magnet to ensure that the booklet doesn't accidentally open. These palettes are especially great for people who are starting out in makeup because on the back of the front cover provides information on how to choose colors based on the types of look you're trying to achieve.

These shadows would work great when combining them with other shadows of different finishes especially because these colors offer such amazing frost and shimmer. Every eyeshadow in this palette is a frost and the blushes are matte. I had a little bit of difficulty swatching the peach colored blush because it was a bit drying so I wouldn't say it offered the greatest pigmentation. The pink blush on the other hand was smooth but a bit chalky.

The eyeshadows were also a bit powdery but it provides a nice sheer wash of shimmery color. I prefer to wear these colors alone or to mix and match them matte shadows. To get the best pigmentation on them I prefer to pack them on with a flat eyeshadow brush on top of a creamy base.

In the end I really like how these colors work alone but when I tried to blend them together it came out a little bit muddy. It was almost too easy to blend together! In the future I'm definitely going to incorporate maybe one or two eyeshadows in a look instead of it being entirely made from it. Hopefully I'll see a difference in how it works with other shadows.

Each palette runs for $14.50 USD.

Blush and Contour Palette from KkCentherHk

Before I forget, congratulations to Jane A. for winning my Perricone giveaway! Check your e-mail because I'll be e-mailing you soon.

Here's a blush and contour palette that I've been using for quite some time now. During the summertime is when I usually focus more on adding contours to my face or using contour colors as bronzers because I think I do get a little bit tan but not too much. So I like to enhance the so-called "tan" I would get by contouring.

I really like the shade of the contour color because it's not too brown or muddy and it's not too orange. It's a matte shade so it's great for using it as bronzer if you don't like that shiny look. Although some of the colors aren't very pigmented upon first swipe, I do prefer that in some way because it allows me to build the color and I don't have to worry about over applying.

The blush colors on the other hand, have pretty decent pigmentation. They are also buildable colors but I find that one layer of blush works good enough for me. I also really like the blush colors as well. Perfect for Summer!

The beige-tone and white powder I don't use very often. I would consider them for highlighting and for brightening certain areas of the face.

Overall, it's a pretty good palette. I think it's great for personal use but not so much professionally. It's good if you're starting out in makeup and you want a variety of colors to work with or if you're just getting into contouring.

This blush and contour palette is available at KkcenterHk.com for $15.54.

PROS:
Long-lasting
Inexpensive
Available internationally
Great for people starting out in makeup
Great for people with light to medium skin tone
Nice shades of blush and contour
Colors are buildable
A lot of product
Great for traveling because you get everything in one palette

CONS:
May not be suitable for people of darker skin tone
Blush is a bit drying in the pan
Packaging isn't very sturdy

NYX Haul: Round Lipsticks & Blush

This is the first time in a really long time that I've done a haul post! :P

NYX Cosmetics recently had their 12th anniversary sale (or should I say fail?) I didn't get a chance to purchase anything during that particular sale because of the many issues I heard about their website being down. Instead, I took advantage of their 50% off including free shipping sale that they had. I don't have that many NYX products just because I haven't come around to actually trying them. They're easily obtainable where I live so I figured there was no rush for me to go out there and buy everything. But I couldn't pass up on the sale! I only have a few eyeshadows, jumbo eyeshadow pencils, lipglosses and lipsticks from them. I decided to stock up on more lipsticks and blushes since I consider those more of the popular items from their cosmetics line.

Swatches will be posted next!
Did you purchase anything from the NYX sale?

Blushes: Mauve, Terra Cotta, Red, Mocha, Pinched
Round Lipsticks: Marrakesh Pink, Femme, Orange Soda, Tea Rose, Circe, Thalia

Target & CCO Haul

I have one more final left to go on Thursday. I have a final project due that day as well and I have yet to START on it. My professor assigned this project around March. Haha. I'm so bad. Anyway, I decided to go to CCO and Target today and I walked out with a little something I wasn't intended to buy. I wanted to go to CCO and buy some brushes but I guess the whole hype of beauty blogging and all these forums about MAC and what not, has gotten so mainstream that I'm assuming so many people go to CCO and they get to the goods before I can get my hands on them. Not to sound like a total biotch. But it sucks because when I don't want it, it's there in the store but when I come to finally buy it, they're completely sold out. It makes me sad. And the next closest CCO is about 45 minutes to an hour away. No thank you!

I had to drive further this time to go to Target because the one near my house is jacked up! They never have the stuff I'm looking for and it's a mess in there. I was also there to see if they still had the PiXi cosmetics 75% off sale but I guess not since they restocked and everything was full price. So I had to pass on that.

Anyway here is my recent CCO & Target haul:

MAC Blush in "Spaced Out" (Neo Sci-Fi collection) and "Feeling"
MAC brush roll ($36)

Sonia Kashuk "small eyeshadow brush" and "large crease brush"

Sonia Kashuk blending sponge

Poor MAC Blush.. & more falsies

I usually look forward to Tuesday's & Thursday's because they're the only days where I come home early and it's usually the time I update my blog. I was thinking of doing a FOTD but instead I decided to depot some of my MAC blushes because they've been sitting in my make-up drawer.

I'm usually very careful when it comes to depotting eyeshadows & blushes but for some reason my Emote blush did not want to cooperate with me. :[

a few chippings on the side after dropping on the floor

the outcome of it after dropping it in the sink. :[

I did have the chance to press it back together but, I'm not all that great at pressing because I get so messy & impatient. hehe. But hopefully by tomorrow it'll look "okay" and I'll still be able to use it. Anyway... just wanted to show you more false eyelashes that I bought at Sally's a few days ago. I am seriously taking advantage of this whole buy 1 get one for $.99. Hahaha.
