Urban Decay 15-Year Anniversary 24/7 Pencil Set Photos & Swatches

For those of you who are an Urban Decay fan, then I'm sure you're aware of their 24/7 eye pencils. They released their 15th anniversary 24/7 pencil set that includes 15 eye pencils, 6 of which are new shades and a sharpener included. I was so excited when I got this in the mail! I just couldn't wait to open it and see all the pretty colors layed out in front of me. I can't wait to do looks with these! Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencils retail for $17.00 USD. I purchased this on their website for only $92.00 ($100.05 when tax is included) which is an amazing deal of which would have been a $264.00 value! Even though it still put a dent on my wallet there was no changing my mind, I just had to have this set! Urban Decay first released this set on Cyber Monday, after the Thanksgiving holiday. But since I missed out on that, I had to wait until this month for them to release it. Now it's available on their website so check it out!

Color descriptions from left to right:
Stray Dog first looked like a soft gray with a hint of brown but it's definitely more on the taupe side.
Corrupt is a really dark brown color with some shimmer and silver glitter.
Bourban is a rich chocolately color. It's more on the warm side with gold specks of shimmer.
Midnight Cowboy is a neutral tone champagne color with gold shimmer.
Baked is a bronze/copper color
Stash is more olive green with a gold sheen to it.
Mildew is lighter forest green shade.
Electric is a bright turqouise color with silver specks of glitter
Binge is a midnight blue with a soft sheen of purple.
Ransom is a bright royal purple.
Asphyxia is a fuschia color with specks of bluish purple glitter.
Rockstar is a very deep eggland color with a slight golden sheen.
Zero is your basic black eyeliner.
Uzi is a dark gunmetal gray color with silver glitter.
Perversion is a pure jet black color. It's much more black compared to Zero.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - Review, Photos & Swatches

For years I've been faithful to my MAC Blacktrack Fluidline. I'm still an avid user of that product but I wanted to branch out and use something for everyday use that wouldn't break the bank on a regular basis. I've seen the Maybelline gel liner a few times at my local drugstores but I never considered purchasing it. So in a way you can say that I purchased this on a whim. And to be honest, I don't regret purchasing it at all! For the most part, it did a really good job at staying on my eyes. I do like to pull off the winged eyeliner and I did notice a little bit of fading in the wing but then again, what eyeliner doesn't eventually fade over time?

AVAILABLE AT: Local drugstores. I bought mine at Walmart
PRICE:
$6-$8 USD
SIZE: 1.06 oz (3g)
VALUE FOR PRICE: 5/5
EASE OF USE: 5/5
PACKAGING: 4/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 4/5
OVERALL USE: 5/5

PROS:

Inexpensive
Appears very black which I like since some eyeliners that say black come off as a charcoal color.
The brush that comes with it actually works really well
More product in the pot than MAC Fluidline
Color pay is a definite dupe to MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
Waterproof

CONS:
Availability. I was really lucky to find this since they're always out of stock.
Slight smudging
Doesn't really last 24 hours as it states

Can you tell which product is Maybelline and which is MAC?

Tutorial: Four Easy Steps to Winged Eyeliner

Hey everyone, I did an updated version of my eyeliner tutorial. It's the same tutorial except this one has better quality pictures. Hope it helps! :)

This tutorial works best using liquid, cream, or gel liners. This is just one of the ways I like to apply my winged eyeliner and of course, there is no right or wrong way to do it. I'm using MAC Blacktrack Fluidline with my Sonia Kashuk eyeliner brush. I also like using L'Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner.

I recommend using an eyeliner brush rather than an angled or flat brush because it's similar to a pen allowing more control for. Use whatever you're most comfortable with and follow these steps. :)

Review: J.Lynne Cosmetics Part 1

I decided to break the review down into 2 parts since I haven't used all the products yet. This post will review the Ultra Intensity Eyeliner and the Lip Creams.

**Don't forget to visit their website! J.Lynne Cosmetics**

Ultra Intensity Eyeliner
COST: Prices may vary depending on the size of the jar. Full size is $8.
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 4 out of 5
OVERALL RATING: 4 out of 5
WOULD I USE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN? Yes

PROS:
Variety of colors to choose from
Easy to apply
Very pigmented, even when applied dry
Goes on smooth like liquid

CONS:
I didn't get to try their Eyeliner Sealant which is ideal for applying it to your eyes wet but as far as using water and mixing medium, it's not waterproof or smudgeproof.
Packaging may be a little messy for some since it is in powder form.

OVERALL:
I really like this product. I like the concept of having powder as fine as loose eyeshadow, but when applied wet, it really does turn into a liquid eyeliner! That's what amazed me the most. I love the colors especially. My favorites would definitely have to be Drama Queen, Mistress, and Vamp. Also, as a reminder Vamp is just black so if you're a definite black eyeliner user and would like to try something different, try it out!

APPLICATION TIPS:
I suggest mixing a small amount of the mineral eyeliner powder and your choice of liquid to create the consistency you want. That way you don't have to keep dipping your brush into the powder 2 or 3 different times since it may waste product faster.
An angled brush or an eyeliner brush will work well for application. I used MAC 266.

(the camera didn't pick up the intensity of the color,
but it comes off really vibrant on your eyes)

SMOOTH COLOR LIP CREAM
COST: Original price is $6 but it's on sale for $4.80
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 4 out of 5
OVERALL: 4 out of 5
WOULD I PURCHASE AGAIN? Yes

PROS:
Comes in a variety of colors
The consistency of it is like lip balm/chapstick
Feels moisturizing on the lips
Enhances your natural lip color almost like a tinted lip balm.
It's organic!

CONS:
It has a subtle orange scent to it which I don't really have a big problem with but I'm not to keen on strong scented lip products.

OVERALL:
This is something I would definitely throw in my purse or makeup bag when I'm on the go. Typically when I apply lip products, I moisturize my lips first and then I apply whatever lipstick or lipgloss I choose. But with this, you basically get 2 for the price of 1! I like that it enhances your natural lip color so when you're just looking for a moisturizer for your lips this will definitely do the trick as well as adding a nice tint.

PRODUCT REVIEW: K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner

After my many visits to Mitsuwa & Marukai, I finally decided to purchase the K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner. I would have never considered purchasing this eyeliner since I've stayed faithful to my holy grail Blacktrack fluidline for the past 2 years. But I must say that I LOVE this liquid eyeliner!

Last night was my cousins 21st birthday party so I thought that it would be a perfect time to really test out the quality of this eyeliner.

This product is designed to stay smudge-proof and tear-resistant throughout busy days and nights, this cutting edge formula applies smoothly and dries quickly. [thanks Miss Kim Tia for the info]

WHERE TO FIND IT:
at your nearest Mitsuwa Marketplace or Marukai Market, Ohayo.com
PRICE: $15-$16
VALUE FOR PRICE: 4 out of 5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 5 out of 5
OVERALL RATING: 5 out of 5

PROS:
It really does last for hours.
It is smudge-proof.
brush-tip allows easy application for thin & thick lines.
Easy to remove with make-up remover even though it's waterproof.

CONS:
It can be pricey for some but in many ways, it's worth it.

OVERALL:
I applied this eyeliner ONLY on my upper lashline around 3pm. I went out all day and all night and I came home around 1am. I must say that the lasting power with this eyeliner stays true to its name. It really does last for hours & hours! Keep in mind, I was partying my ass off and I was drunk. xP haha!

This is definitely my Holy Grail eyeliner when it comes to liquid and I don't think I'll ever switch back to another liquid liner for a while. As you can see in the picture below, the eyeliner has not budged at all. Except for a teeny tiny bit of fading on the "wing" I honestly can't tell any significant difference in the before & after looks. I swear this eyeliner is amazing!

[don't pay much attention to the eyeliner on the lower waterline,
you can obviously tell I have not found a HG pencil liner that actually stays!]
