TUTORIAL: Sultry Bedroom Eeyes

This will be my last post of the year. I did this simple brown look that I would consider "bedroom eyes", if that makes any sense? Hehe. Yeah you know what I'm talking about ladies... the whole sex hair & sultry eyes. Mmhm, don't act like you don't know. Haha!

May I remind you that I'm not wearing anything on my face, cheeks, or lips. My main focus was the eyes and I'm sure as hell gonna wear this look when Victor comes down. Mmhm. ;) HAH! I'm kidding...

To create this look I used the Coastal Scents Neutral Palette [please don't ask me what I used, I just said it]. You could even substitute the brown for another color to create another smokey look [example: blue, purple, etc.].

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Though I think this tutorial is pretty self explanitory. :) Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

I WISH ALL OF YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE & I'LL SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR. <33

Then I applied mascara & false eyelashes [Andrea #33] to finish off the look.

Inspirational Look: Blue & Purple

I tried to replicate this inspirational look as best I could, but I failed to do so. I found this picture on Google [searched: sephora model]. I was almost almost almost thinking of doing this look for L's 2nd contest but after seeing the other entries that have already been submitted, I realized this isn't "runway" enough. But since I haven't done any looks in a while, due to my sickness, I just felt like playing with make-up for my own pleasure. :)

sorry the picture is so small.

eyeshadow on my right eye doesn't look blended. not cool. :[

can you tell i'm not wearing any foundation?
you can really see the uneven skintone :[

I Miss Blogging

Being sick takes out the everyday out of my everyday. And part of that is blogging. I haven't been keeping track of any updates because I've been bedridden. I got sick on Monday when Moms and I went shopping in the rain. I didn't start feeling sick til Tuesday night and it's just been getting worse.

My sickness was bearable on Christmas Eve but it got so bad today that the sinus pressure was getting to the back of my head and it started hurting real bad. I couldn't even blow my nose without that throbbing feeling in my brain. Bleeeegh, it sucks.

Moms gave me theraflu and I tried to sleep on it but I already took a nap prior to drinking it so I was wide awake by then. I'm still in bed right now but the theraflu helped out a little.

Let's hope for a better tomorrow. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. [:

FOTD + J. Lynne Cosmetics

I received an e-mail in the beginning of the month from Jess, the owner & creator of J.Lynne Cosmetics. J. Lynne Cosmetics is an indie beauty company that offers all-natural, eco-friendly mineral makeup and cosmetics.

She sent me free mineral make-up samples so I could do a testimonial on them and even do a couple of looks for you ladies. I just wanted to show you ladies how amaaaaaazing these colors are.

EDIT
OVERALL
I did a FOTD using JLC and I [100x] love love love their mineral make-up. The consistency of their eyeshadows/blush is so smooth. It glides on so well when applied wet and it doesn't leave that chunky residue on your eyelids [MAC pigments tend to do that to my eyelids sometimes].
This is actually my first time trying out mineral eyeshadows and after creating this look, I highly suggest that you ladies check out this cosmetics line. The lasting power isn't disappointing either. Regardless that I applied UDPP as my primary base, I think the shadow would've lasted longer even on its own.
I also love the fun names that they use to name their eyeshadows/blush. [Cha Cha, Mambo, Flamenco, etc.]
PROS:
Colors are vibrant [especially when applied wet]
Long lasting colors
Great consistency
All colors are very versatile [could be applied to eyes or cheeks]
Colors aren't overly shimmery which I love. It has a nice satin finish to it.

CONS:

None that I can think of.

Since these samples were given to me to do a review, I don't know much about pricing. I can't say what I don't like about it personally, but with the overall product itself, I give it a 5 out of 5! :D
If you have any questions regarding any of their products, check out the website or you can send them a direct e-mail which you can also find on their website. Thanks again Jess!

After 8 hours of application. Not bad ehhh?

EYES:
UDPP as primary base
Sakura e/s applied wet [mixing medium] all over lid & outer lower lashline
Cocoa e/s applied wet on outter corner
Mambo blush applied on crease [yes, I said blush]
Vanilla e/s as highlight
Mimoza e/s on inner lower lashline
CHEEKS:
Flamenco blush

Update, Hauls, New Hair Color?

Hello all! I just wanted to do a quick update for everyone. This week is finals week so I have to cram in a lot of homework that's due and I gotta study. I just got done with my Geo final and I'm pretty sure I'm passing the class with a "B" since I calculated all of my scores. I have 3 more finals to go.

Anyway, I also just want to add that I will be doing more make-up tutorials. Even though it takes so much work to do, I actually enjoy doing it. Sometimes I wish I got paid to do these things. LOL. Just kidding. So I do read everyones comments and I check my e-mail like 100x every hour. I've gotten everyones requests and I promise to do them. I need to start writing them down or else I'll lose track. hehe.

But anyway, I dyed my hair yesterday. I'm not sure I like it so much. The blonde turned out to be more orange and I wanted it to be more platinum blonde. But I do think the flash in my camera makes it seem that way. I might dye it purple but I'd have to wait til after Christmas or my mom would go crazy. I'll take any sort of constructive criticism from you ladies. So love it or hate it, just let me know! I won't be publishing hater comments so you can be as mean as you want. LOL. Just kidding.

I went to Mitsuwa on Sunday. Didn't buy much. I tried out the egg peel mask and I love it! It makes my skin feel so smooth. I'll be doing a review on it soon. [:
I bought this Tweezerman Ilashcomb at Sally's for about $7. This stuff is amazing and I love how small it is. I was watching Christiana do her mascara accessories video and I was so tempted to get one of those eyelash combs that she has. I didn't wanna buy one online but when I went to Sally's I saw one so I had to get it!

My First Make-Up Tutorial -- Smokey Green

***NOTE: VERY PICTURE HEAVY. I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE.

So last night I decided to attempt my first picture tutorial. I never realized how much hard work this could take considering all the steps I had to do to create this look. And plus watermarking my pictures and typing up the instructions takes up a lot of time too. I hope you ladies like it. Tell me what you think!! [: BTW, I used my 56 piece Coastal Scents palette to create this look.
Here's the look that we are going for
