Gold Glitter Smokey Eyes for Prom

Hello and long time no post! It's been about 2 weeks since I did my last tutorial and I knew I had to make a comeback soon. I've been stressing out over some personal things going on in my life and doing tutorials is honestly my best escape. I thought I would start a prom series on YouTube and on my blog since prom season is coming up. This look I did is so easy to do and it took very little effort. I thought I would make the look simple and easy to follow for those who will be doing their own makeup for prom. And by simple I mean not complicated, not necessarily natural looking. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. As always thanks for watching and visiting my blog. Take care! xoxo

Romantic Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial

I am on a roll with these new looks and tutorials! Here is another look for you guys. It's a bit more sultry and smokey, and somewhat more romantic if you choose to use a look like this for Valentine's Day. I like this look because it's smokey but it doesn't scream dramatic, and it has a touch of innocence to it with the soft lips and cheek color. This look doesn't have to be just for Valentine's Day. This is a perfect look for any special occasion or just a night out of town. Always remember that Valentine's Day isn't just about showing your significant other how much you love them. Make sure to spend it with others that you love like your family and yourself! I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day Makeup Look & Tutorial

Hi everyone! Being that it is February and the month of LOVE, I decided to dedicate this post to Valentine's Day since it is about a week away from now. I'm not sure what my plans are for Valentine's Day yet but I told my boyfriend that I will making dinner plans for us since he is usually the one to make reservations. Around late January I was thinking of making reservations to this Italian restaurant which had really great reviews but I was thinking it was too soon to make reservations. Boy was I wrong! I tried to make a reservation today and there were no more available seats for reservations. I was kind of disappointed because now I have to look for another restaurant. Any suggestions for a romantic dinner in San Diego?!

Anyway, here's a look I did today that I thought was Valentine's Day-esque. I think the colors are fun and flirty! I had no idea how this look was going to come out. I literally just grabbed the colors as the camera was rolling. I decided to go for a nude lip but even a soft pink lip would look great. Next tutorial I'm going to do will be a simple eye with a bold lip using one of my Maybelline Vivids lipstick. Hope you all enjoy the look and have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Look #2 - Tutorial

My schedule is really hectic right now and it requires my full attention. Otherwise I'd be blogging every other day! So my blog posts may be looking a little inconsistent for a bit until things start to ease up. Right now it's hard to say when that will happen but I just wanted to put it out there. I had class last night so I had time to squeeze in a tutorial for this look. It's another look using my UD Naked 2 Palette. While the look I did previously (click here) had more black and silver, this one uses more gold and brown :) Hope you like it!

New Years Eve Makeup Look #3 - Last Post of the Year!

Here's my last NYE look and possibly my last post of the year! Goodbye 2011, hello 2012! It'll be the year of the dragon, and I'm a dragon according to the Japanese zodiac. So I'm excited for the new year and I have so much faith in myself that 2012 will be good to me. :)

I asked the boyfriend what colors remind him most of New Years and he says black and gold so I decided to take his word for it and create a dramatic cut crease look with shimmery golds and glitter. Hope you all like this look! Thank you all for sticking with me for yet another year. Cheers! :D

New Years Eve Makeup #2

I wasn't sure what to do with this look but I knew I wasn't going to use glitter like I wanted to. I had a look in mind but it didn't come out right when I tried it so this was the result of a last minute decision. Excessive eyeshadows with a frost finish make me apprehensive and this is definitely more frosty than what I'm used to. Especially when frost shadows appear too close to my brow bone... yikes! I prefer not to apply frost eyeshadows that far up my eye. Unless I did it for someone who was going for a look that way, otherwise I pretty much avoid it. I usually try to stick to one frost eyeshadow with the exception of this look since NYE is just around the corner. Had I done this look any other time, I probably would have incorporated matte shades (especially the purple) but this is for New Years! Enjoy! :)

Urban Decay Naked Palette Look - Simple Wearable Makeup

I'm back again with another look using my UD Naked Palette. I actually did this look a few days ago but I wanted to space out all these neutral looks I had coming up. This one is very easy to do and I don't even think you need this particular palette to do this look. I find it really subtle and work appropriate for those who are looking for ways to do their makeup without over doing it.

This look can also be transformed from a day to night look just by emphasizing the outer corner and crease with a dark brown eyeshadow (Darkhorse) or black eyeshadow (Creep). I wanted to keep it simple though. Hope you like it!

Everyday Smokey Eyes with Urban Decay Naked Palette

The end of this year is fast approaching and I know I said I'll be doing some looks for NYE but I had to get some looks I did using my Naked Palette out of the way first! I've been turning to this palette for those days where I'm unsure of what to do for my eye makeup. I have another look using this palette that I'm waiting to post but I think I'll do that after I get at least one NYE makeup look out of the way. I'm not sure how many NYE looks I'll be doing but I'll try to get at least 2! For now, enjoy this simple smokey look that's appropriate for everyday. Christmas Inspired Makeup

I can't believe Christmas is over :( It went by so fast! All the anticipation and preparation felt so long and now it's over and done with. I wanted to post this look before Christmas but I couldn't get around to it. But anyone could pull off this color combo whenever they want, if they're nto bold and colorful looks! Anyway, New Years is just around the corner and I have a feeling it's gonna go buy just as quick as Christmas did. I know some of you are into bright colors and glitter for New Years so I'm hoping to get some looks before then. I only wish I can film tutorials for these looks but I'll see what I can do! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Enjoy the look! :)

Golden Bronze Naked Palette Look

First off, Merry Christmas Eve! :D I'm LOVING my Urban Decay Naked Palette but I find it so difficult to photograph. Does anyone else have this problem? Usually I have this problem with frosty/shimmery eyeshadows and since majority of these shadows have a frost finish, it was hard to capture the the look of it. I'm going to play around with it more and hopefully I could get better pictures next time :)
