Maybelline The Rocket Volum'Express Mascara Waterproof Review
Posted by
Unknown
Maybelline The Rocket mascara is said to provide eight times the volume for your lashes. You can find this at your local drugstore for around $6-$7. When I first saw this mascara I was intrigued by the packaging and the commercial. I'm sucker for these things, okay? I first noticed how the mascara wand reminded me of the Covergirl LashBlast mascara wand, which I love! Since my natural lashes are short, the oversized wand grabs onto my lashes better. So I bought this mascara thinking it would give my lashes the same outcome if not better. I did notice a slight difference between the two though. The Rocket mascara is more pointy and slightly a bit wider in my opinion.
I've been using this mascara for more than a week now so I think it's safe to give my honest review on it. Do you ever use a mascara for the first time and it's just not that great? I find that I have to use my mascara a few times in order for the mascara to form just the right consistency for me. That's how I felt about this mascara. I first used this mascara and thought, mehhh. Nothing too great. But the more I kept using it, the better the consistency became and the better it applied to my lashes.
As you can see in the photos below, this mascara is not meant for lengthening, at least not for me. I look for more volumizing mascaras so if your'e looking for a lengthening mascara then this might not be the one for you. I thought that this mascara held the curl quite nicely throughout the day. I didn't notice any flaking which I do experience with other mascaras such as Maybelline Plush Lash mascara.
The size of the wand is not too big and it's not too small that it's difficult to apply mascara. The size of the wand distributes mascara evenly throughout my lashes without clumping. I can get away with just doing one to two coats of this mascara without any clumping. I would definitely repurchase this mascara again as it's a close second to my favorite Covergirl LashBlast!

GloProfessionals Lash Lengthening Mascara Review
Posted by

Lash lengthening mascara is formulated to deliver nutrients and help the lashes to grow to their potential. Use alone or apply Lash lengthening mascara after Lash thickener and conditioner for optimal results.AVAILABILITY: GloProfessionals
PRICE: $16.50 USD
VALUE FOR PRICE: 1/5
APPLICATION: 3.5/5
PACKAGING: 3/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 3/5
OVERALL PRODUCT: 1/5
PROS:
□ Provides antioxidants and Vitamins (A, C, E, and Green Tea extract)
□ Safe for contact lens wearers
□ Eyelashes felt more flexible rather than hard
CONS:
□ Didn't notice any eyelash growth
□ Didn't lengthen or thicken my lashes
□ Not waterproof
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
□ This mascara was pretty much a miss for me. I generally use this mascara under my false eyelashes because I would not wear this alone. It didn't do much for my lashes and it seemed like it only coated my lashes but didn't really provide any length or volume. The brush seemed to work okay at separating the lashes but the wand itself seemed pretty standard and had no special characteristic to it. Probably after the first coat, the mascara started to clump my lashes making them look uneven in size and direction. I tried to "declump" my lashes and move them to make them look more uniform but it just didn't work. If you're one who is looking for a natural finish type of mascara then you'll have no problem with this one.

Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies Flared Waterproof Review
Posted by

No mascara
One coat
Two coats
What it claims:To use: For best results, apply the Spoon Curler brush with the spoon side against the lashes then flare outwards with the side from root to tip.
□ Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of more lashes.
□ Patented Spoon Curler brush loads every lash with flexible-hold formula to instantly build volume that goes up and out at corners.
This is once again another product that's been given a lot of hype and I fell victim to what others say about this. Though I use false eyelashes most of the time, I do prefer to have a decent mascara for those days that I don't feel like wearing any. After testing this product out I'm not so sure I'll be repurchasing this one in particular. Luckily I believed the hype when people claimed how amazing Covergirl LashBlast mascara was so I'll be sticking with that instead. :)
AVAILABILITY: drugstores (Target, CVS, Walgreens, etc.)
PRICE: $4-6 USD
SIZE: .35 fl oz. / 9.4 ml
VALUE FOR PRICE: 4.5/5
APPLICATION: 3.5/5
PACKAGING: 4/5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 3.5/5
OVERALL PRODUCT: 3/5
□ Adds volume
□ Holds curl
□ Separates lashes
□ Spoon shaped curler helps coat every lash
CONS:
□ Minimal lengthening
□ Formula was too dry
□ Lashes started to clump after the first coat
□ Lashes looked uneven
FINAL THOUGHTS:
□ I recommend this for people who have very short lashes because dryer mascara would stick better to thinner, shorter lashes. If you already have naturally long lashes then this could work for you if you're just looking for volume. When it comes to mascara I prefer a wetter formula because dryer mascaras clump easily for me and it makes my lashes look like tarantulas, and typically they offer very little length. :(
□ I also noticed that rather than coating and combing through my lashes consistently it made them look really messy and uneven. Some lashes were longer and some didn't have as much volume or length. That's definitely something to gripe about this product considering it's meant to give you the "falsies" look.

PRODUCT REVIEW: Tweezerman Folding iLashcomb
Posted by

The perfectly spaced, gold plated metal teeth glide through lashes to remove excess mascara, leaving your lashes looking long, lovely and clump-free. [x]
CAN BE PURCHASED AT: Sally Beauty Supply, Tweezerman.com
PRICE: $7.00
VALUE FOR PRICE: 5 out of 5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 5 out of 5
OVERALL RATING: 5 out of 5
HOW I USE THIS PRODUCT:
→ Apply first layer of mascara
→ While mascara is still wet, comb eyelashes [moving up, out & away from eyes]
→ Comb lashes after each coat of mascara
HOW TO CLEAN THIS PRODUCT:
→ Part of eye-beauty maintenance is keeping peepers healthy, so clean your iLashcomb regularly with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball, make-up wipe, or make-up remover. I clean my iLashcomb after every use with Equate Facial Cleansing Towelettes, works great!
PROS:
→ Combs away clumps of mascara
→ Price isn't bad. If you take care of it, it will last a good while
→ Very compact & fits anywhere!
→ The comb cleverly folds in to protect teeth when not in use
→ Easy to clean
CONS:
→ A little hard to comb through eyelashes especially when your mascara is dry. So it's best to comb through right after you apply a coat of mascara.
→ The metal teeth can hurt if you do accidentally poke yourself.

OVERALL:
→ It's definitely worth the purchase because nobody here likes clumpy mascara. It does take more out of your time considering you have to comb through your lashes to really get that "clump free" look. But since it's so small, it easily fits into your purse so you can bring it with you.
→ It's important that you use this product carefully because the metal teeth are as pointy as needles [I think they are needles actually. LOL.] So even though it may be time consuming, you want to be careful not to rush yourself when using this product. But after using it several times, you start to get the hang of it and sooner or later you'll just comb right through them like nothing!
→ There are also many other similar ones that vary in price such as Coastal Scents, Sonia Kashuk, etc. and they all pretty much have the same effect.
