New Years Eve Makeup Look #3 - Last Post of the Year!

Here's my last NYE look and possibly my last post of the year! Goodbye 2011, hello 2012! It'll be the year of the dragon, and I'm a dragon according to the Japanese zodiac. So I'm excited for the new year and I have so much faith in myself that 2012 will be good to me. :)

I asked the boyfriend what colors remind him most of New Years and he says black and gold so I decided to take his word for it and create a dramatic cut crease look with shimmery golds and glitter. Hope you all like this look! Thank you all for sticking with me for yet another year. Cheers! :D

Glittery Blue Makeup for New Years

Hi! Here's my first festive look for New Years using glitter. I wish it was more glittery but I'll try to incorporate more of that in another look. I used clear lash adhesive to apply the glitter onto my eyelid. I always use this technique especially with glitter because it lasts so much longer without fading or creasing.

LOOK: Electric Blue and Green Cut Crease + Tutorial

Okay, so this look was done completely out of the blue (haha get it?). I wanted to do something really dramatic but still keeping it bright and fun. I think with all the Halloween makeup look that people are doing, I've been feeling really inspired. It's been a while since I've done a bright and dramatic look like this so I had a lot of fun doing it! This kind of reminds me of a mermaid look but we'll leave that up for all of you to decide. I just decided to call it Electric since it's so vibrant. As always, I hope you all like this look and thanks for reading! :)

Beyonce "Countdown" Official Music Video Inspired Makeup

A Youtube guru by the name of BEATFACEHONEY did a look inspired by Beyonce's Countdown video and I fell in love with it so I decided to recreate it in my own way. I thought this look would be fun to do and since Halloween isn't too far from now maybe some of you can get inspiration for how you want to do your makeup. The yellow really makes the look stand out but you can definitely substitute the yellow for another fun color. I think a bright green or a hot pink would look so fierce with this look! Anyway I hope you all enjoy. Thanks for reading! :)

Cool Night FOTD

Just a reminder for everyone, my Sigma giveaway is still open and it's exclusively for my Facebook fan's. Don't forget to enter! Last day to enter is on July 17th. Remember, one entry per person and this giveaway is open internationally!

So I had the chance to play with makeup today and I decided to use products that I'm currently loving, and products I haven't used in a while. I'm reminded of how much I love doing purple and blue looks and I don't do looks using these colors as much as I would like to. So it's nice to break out of my shell every once in a while and play around with color combinations. Anyway, hope you all enjoy this look. Thanks for looking! :)

Springtime Look!

I'm ready for Spring, are you?! Our whether here in San Diego is ridiculous. It would be cold some days and then the weather would spike up to 80 degrees out of nowhere! Then the next day it would be completely gloomy outside. I don't understand how that happens but I'll take it for what it is. Some time earlier this week it got super hot here in SD and it made me think about Spring. So I guess you can say it sort've inspired this look. I was playing with makeup the other day and came up with this super random (yet appropriate) color combination. It kind of reminded me of spring colors especially when I tied it with my current go-to lipstick, Pink Blush from Rimmel. By the way I love this lipstick! It's almost like a barbie pink but a little bit lighter. It's a cream color and it goes on so smoothly and it feels really creamy on my lips. Rimmel's lipsticks have defenitely won my vote. :) Anyway, I had no sense of direction as I was creating this look. I pretty much just grabbed colors as I went along and this ended up being the final results. I like how it turned out even though the colors came out really random. Hope you all enjoy the look!

By the way, the boyfriend and I are going to the SD Zoo this Saturday. Anyone else dropping by? :)

The pictures above were taken with my iPhone 4. I wanted to show you guys just how vibrant the look really is since the ones from my camera weren't able to pick it up that much. Anyway, here's another look using Glamour Doll Eyes. I'm in love with these shadows! I still haven't used all the eyeshadows that I have from them so I'm trying to put together different color combinations and seeing what I come up with. I'm in loooove with this look!
