Thanks to all of those who participated in this free giveaway! I will be announcing the winners on April 1st (no joke! hehe). I've decided to give away prizes to 7 people.
As I've mentioned before, winners have a choice of either getting 2 sets of falsies, 2 sets of press-on nails, or 1 of each.
If all goes well with this giveaway, and depending on how much product I have left over, I may offer another giveaway to my readers. Thanks again!!
XOXO,

CONTEST ENTRY: Drag Queen
Posted by
Unknown
I decided to join Mimi's Drag Queen Contest!!!! I actually did this look around 2 in the morning since I was wide awake. But as soon as I got done with the look, I was exhausted!!!!!
It took me about an hour & a half to create the whole look PLUS take pictures. I spent more time trying to conceal my eyebrows but you can tell that I failed at that.
I also contoured/highlighted my cheeks, jaw line, chin & nose!! I wish my nose looked like that in real life. Amazing at what make-up can really do to yourself!!
Anywho, I looooooove the way my lips turned out. If you guys remember from one of my previous posts from a while back, I showed the many uses of MAC's Helium Pigment. Basically I did the same trick with my lips here just to give it more glam!
After seeing all the pictures and looking at myself in the mirror at the time, I was actually afraid to look at myself any longer. That just goes to show that I would never EVER shave off my eyebrows and put them in places they don't belong. For example, my forehead! No thank you!!
Haha anyway, I won't list down what I used, unless of course it's required for the contest but you could pretty much tell that I kept it pretty simple [in a dramatic sort of way]. Black & white eyeshadow, red blush, red lips, etc.
Good luck to all the rest who are joining the contest. [:

PRODUCT REVIEW: Revlon False Eyelashes & Artificial Nails
Posted by

*** PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ my reviews. I've been getting a lot of questions about products that I've reviewed when the answers are clearly stated in the post itself. If I don't get back to you, it's because the answer to your question is already mentioned. Otherwise, I will do my best to get back to you. Thank you!
About a week ago I received an e-mail from Janet Lai, an assistant manager of Revlon at Pacific World Corporation. She manages and promotes falsies & artificial nails and she was really kind enough to send me a basket full of them so I could do a review. Thanks again Janet!
On to the review!
REVLON RUNWAY COLLECTION artificial nails
→ In general, I was never a big fan of press-on nails just because I've always had a hard time putting them on. My fingers would glue themselves to the press-ons and it would all just be a big mess after that. The last time I ever applied press-ons, I was probably a senior in high school.
→ But as you all may know, this recession makes it harder for us ladies to glam up when need be. So instead of paying $20+ dollars for acrylic nails, press-on nails can be a definite alternative.
TIPS FOR APPLYING PRESS-ON NAILS:
→ Apply nails to your dominant hand last.
→ The last press-on you should apply is the thumb. Trust me, your nails will thank you. (:
→ When applying the press-on, hold it down for about 10 seconds. If you lift too soon, air bubbles may appear [as shown in the picture below].
→ The more glue, the better. But beware that it can get messy [& sticky!].
PROS:
→ When applied properly, they could almost pass for salon nails. (:
→ Comes in a variety of designs that fit to your liking.
→ Inexpensive, as a opposed to getting your nails done at a salon.
→ Had no problem finding the right fit for each fingernail, though it may vary for others.
→ Each kit comes with a manicure stick & a file so in case a press-on may be too wide, you can easily file it down to fit your fingernail.
→ They WON'T ruin your nails as much as acrylic nails do.
CONS:
→ Air bubbles ): Maybe if they added a less transparent base coat to make the base of the nail less visible, the air bubbles wouldn't show as much.
→ Other than the fact that I'm no good at applying them, I actually like the concept of press-on nails. I just wish I can do a better job at applying them! I'm sure other ladies can apply them a lot better than I can. I would definitely recommend it to those who are on a budget but would want an inexpensive way to dress up their nails. (:
REVLON FANTASY LENGTHS false eyelashes
→ As you all may know, I'm a huge fan of false eyelashes. I received a couple of falsies that were self-adhesive, meaning that no glue was needed. I thought it was pretty interesting since I've never tried it before.
PROS [self-adhesive lashes]:
→ It's a lot easier to maintain. Meaning, no need to rush to put them on your eyes since there's no glue.
→ If you accidently applied them incorrectly, you can easily peel them off and reapply to adjust them without the messyness of glue.
→ Package comes with another strip of adhesive in case the first one loses its stickyness.
→ Package says that they stay on even in water, though I haven't tested that out.
CONS [self-adhesive lashes]:
→ The adhesive is really sticky. Like regular glue, you can move your false eyelashes around while the glue is still wet. But with this, once you stick it on, you can't wiggle it, you'd have to remove it and place it where you want it to go. Doing this can also remove your eyeliner!
PROS [regular lashes with glue]:
→ I LOVE their eyelash adhesive. It dries a lot faster and it's not as thick compared to other adhesives I've tried.
→ Eyelashes are very natural looking.
→ They come in a variety of choices that fit to your liking.
→ I can hardly tell I have them on, they feel extremely natural and they don't weigh my eyes down.
CONS [regular lashes with glue]:
→ The strip of the lashes are really thin and lightweight which made it kind of hard to control when I applied them.
→ The eyelash glue can be a little too thin. Almost like a milky consistency.

PRODUCT REVIEW: K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner
Posted by
Unknown
After my many visits to Mitsuwa & Marukai, I finally decided to purchase the K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner. I would have never considered purchasing this eyeliner since I've stayed faithful to my holy grail Blacktrack fluidline for the past 2 years. But I must say that I LOVE this liquid eyeliner!
Last night was my cousins 21st birthday party so I thought that it would be a perfect time to really test out the quality of this eyeliner.
This product is designed to stay smudge-proof and tear-resistant throughout busy days and nights, this cutting edge formula applies smoothly and dries quickly. [thanks Miss Kim Tia for the info]
WHERE TO FIND IT: at your nearest Mitsuwa Marketplace or Marukai Market, Ohayo.com
PRICE: $15-$16
VALUE FOR PRICE: 4 out of 5
MEETS EXPECTATIONS: 5 out of 5
OVERALL RATING: 5 out of 5
PROS:
→ It really does last for hours.
→ It is smudge-proof.
→ brush-tip allows easy application for thin & thick lines.
→ Easy to remove with make-up remover even though it's waterproof.
CONS:
→ It can be pricey for some but in many ways, it's worth it.
OVERALL:
→ I applied this eyeliner ONLY on my upper lashline around 3pm. I went out all day and all night and I came home around 1am. I must say that the lasting power with this eyeliner stays true to its name. It really does last for hours & hours! Keep in mind, I was partying my ass off and I was drunk. xP haha!
→ This is definitely my Holy Grail eyeliner when it comes to liquid and I don't think I'll ever switch back to another liquid liner for a while. As you can see in the picture below, the eyeliner has not budged at all. Except for a teeny tiny bit of fading on the "wing" I honestly can't tell any significant difference in the before & after looks. I swear this eyeliner is amazing!

[don't pay much attention to the eyeliner on the lower waterline,
you can obviously tell I have not found a HG pencil liner that actually stays!]

LOOK: Purple & Orange
Posted by
Unknown
I haven't done any looks in a minute. Lately it's just been eyeliner & mascara for me. As crazy as that may sound, I almost felt like I lost my touch in make-up. I've attempted to do looks before but they never came out the way I expected them to be. This look didn't come out the way I was hoping but then again it's definitely an improvement from when I was M.I.A. hehehe.
By the way I'm wearing MAC HK's Pink Fish tinted lip condition. And I love it! It kind of reminds me of Angel lipstick except it's not as opaque. (:

LATE POST: Hello Kitty Haul
Posted by

I totally forgot about my MAC Hello Kitty Collection. I didn't buy a lot just because I wasn't too happy with some of the color pay off of some products but I'm happy with what I have. (:
